The President of the International Univeristy (UNINTER), Javier Espinosa, and the President of the Colosio Fundation, Morelos Branch, Enrique Hernandez, signed this month an agreement for academic co-operation and another one to develop a Diagnostic on the State Security and Implementation of Justice in Morelos, in accordance to the National Program for Social Prevention of violence and criminal activities in Morelos.
At the event were present representatives of the Under Secretary of Government of Federal Government, the State of Morelos, and the President of the national Colosio Foundation, as well as the Deans of Several private Universities in Morelos, the mayors of Cuernavaca, Jiutepec, Huitzilac, Tepoztlan, Xochitepec and Emiliano Zapata, representatives of the political parties in our state, member of the board of the Chambers of Commerce and of Industry in Morelos.
The program is based in the concepts that education, creation of well paid jobs and the establishment of a better social environment, together with a better social self esteem in Mexico and drug prevention programs will improve the standards of living and diminish the risk of young people joining criminal gangs or organizations.
The Colosio Foundation is a think tank founded by the institutional revolutionary party, open to all currents of political thoughts, dedicated to create political policies at a national level.
The agreement is the first one signed by a university and the foundation since the publication of the national program.
In his speech president Espinosa reflected on the need of a culture and education of peace and the convenience of participation in its achievement by all educational institutions.
