Hueyapan is a small community in northern Morelos, whose name means “Place of plentiful waters”. This town, populated by some 6 000 thousand people of Nahuatl origin is considered a place full of magic and cultural treasures.
Its cobbled streets ad adobe houses cover four neighborhoods divided by gullies and water sources, where wool products knit on waist looms include blankets, shawls, bedspreads and typical sweaters.
It is possible in Hueyapan to try Aztec foodstuffs; see Nahuatl clothing; and listen to the legends of the old inhabitants of Mexico in their language, with a translation to Spanish or English, only two and a half hour ride from Cuernavaca which will provide a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
